Aug 24, 2018 The default printer for envelopes should be the currently active printer in Word, which, when Word opens, is the Windows default printer. Have you checked to make sure you don't have an Adobe printer set as the Windows default. However you can NOT change the default printer within Word 2007 (or any other version). That is a setting with Windows itself, not Word. On the Start Menu look for the Printer or Printer and Fax section.
I've seen references to this before, but no clear answer:
When trying to print from any Office 20XX ap, the printer goes to a rando printer, NOT the one set up as the default printer in WinX Pro. Doesn't matter if you're an admin or not.
Print Document X on the correct printer, save it, go back to it...it still wants to print to a rando printer. Win10 printer management is turned off.
Create a new Document, go to print settings, the printer it wants to use is NOT the Win10 default printer. This IS an HP CM3530 we're talking about... a few articles say it's HP but I've loaded the HP Win 7 package, the MS Win default driver and a few others for good measure. This isn't the driver.
One other odd thing. The activated Office 2016 does not have an 'Office Update' icon in the 'Account' menu. Can't find any references to that.
